Traditional Balance Benches



The original and still our best selling bench.

British made using high quality timber, available in a variety of sizes and with optional end hooks.



The benches have a smooth lacquered 10" wide top and a 2" wide balance rail 

on the bottom with wide legs and high grip rubber feet for stability. The top has 4 rubber 

buttons to grip and protect the floor when using the balance rail (with the bench upside down). 

Benches are 12" (300mm) high, and are available in 3 different lengths: 6' (1.83m) long (lightweight); 

8'9" (2.67m) long for primary schools and 11' (3.35m) long for secondary schools.
 
Balance benches come with or without hooks on each end. Where a bench needs to be hooked on 

to a piece of apparatus eg wallbars, 2 hooks on one end are required; where a bench needs to be 

hooked to 2 pieces of apparatus eg 2 trestles, 4 hooks (2 either end) are required. If these 

activities are not required benches can be ordered without hooks.
 
Our balance benches are superbly constructed with a lacquered soft wood top with 50mm deep 

side rails for extra strength (some cheaper benches use thinner tops and smaller side rails which 

whilst looking similar do not provide the same strength and durability), and a balance rail with 

ends dovetailed into the legs for optimum structural rigidity.

Eurobench Balance Benches



These balance benches are ideally suited for nurseries and primary schools. The bench top is entirely 

smooth making it excellent for sliding activities.
 
Turn it over and there is a 4" (100mm) balance rail underneath. The benches include as standard a 

pair of hooks at one end for attaching to wallbars, trestles or bar boxes. These are manufactured 

from a timber based material which will not warp, split or shrink making them ideal for small gyms 

where equipment is some times stored close to radiators.
 
Benches are available in 2 lengths:

Junior 1.8m (5'11")

Senior 2.4m (7'10")

Padded Balance Benches



These balance benches have an extremely rigid steel frame with a padded vinyl top and come with 

4 hooks (2 each end) for linking to other PE equipment and doubling as a padded plank.
 
The balance benches can be securely fixed to other equipment using the locking pins on the hooks.
 
These benches are available in 2 lengths:

Gym Balance Benches



These balance benches have a solid timber top with a very sturdy steel frame and legs made 

in flat oval steel to give smooth corners, and with a steel balance rail underneath.
The top has 4 rubber feet (as well as the legs) so the bench can be used either way with 

excellent grip. This bench is ideal for sports halls or other heavy use applications as the frame will 

withstand many years of hard use and if the top is damaged it can easily be replaced.
Hooks can also be fitted to either end of the bench so it can be attached to other apparatus 

(supplied seperately).
 
The benches are available in 2 lengths:
2.44m(8')
3.05m (10')

Superlite Balance Benches



Superlite balance benches have an aluminium frame for excellent rigidity and to create a very 

lightweight bench that is easy to store.
 
These balance benches have a 100mm wide carpet covered balance rail on the underside and rubber 

feet on the top to protect the top and provide grip when the balance rail is in use. All benches are 

supplied with a pair of hooks at both ends so benches can be hooked to 1 item or used to bridge 2 

pieces of apparatus.
 
These benches are 2.4m long and come with a wood top or a padded vinyl top in 4 colours red, green, 

blue or yellow and are ideal for junior school children for PE and gymnastics.
